West Ham team news: Predicted line up vs Huddersfield – ANOTHER first-team injury blow? | Football | Sport

West Ham have been plagued with injuries in recent weeks and could be weighed down by one more for their Premier League clash with Huddersfield.

The Hammers are without seven players for the Premier League encounter, including captain Mark Noble who is serving the final game of his suspension.

Robert Snodgrass is the latest potential doubt after Scotland boss Alex McLeish confirmed he would not feature for his country over the international break due to an ongoing ankle problem.

The winger has been forced to play a more versatile role for West Ham given the amount of injuries in the squad.

Snodgrass appears to have been playing through discomfort in recent weeks and despite his troubles, is expected to remain in the line-up one last time before an extended break.

Once the international break is over, Snodgrass will battle for a place in the side with Jack Wilshere who is closing in on a return.

Andy Carroll is also nearing a return after a long-term problem.

Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez, Manuel Lanzini and Andriy Yarmolenko continue to be ruled out for months.

Boss Manuel Pellegrini could name an unchanged line-up from the one that beat Burnley last weekend.

The most likely change would be Arthur Masuaku returning in place of Aaron Cresswell, though the left-back may not be risked so soon after injury.

Predicted West Ham team vs Huddersfield

(4-2-3-1) Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell; Obiang, Rice; Diangana, Snodgrass, Anderson; Arnautovic.
