Melania Trump: Donald wife asked about THAT jacket in explosive interview without husband

Melania Trump, 48, has given her first solo, no-holes-barred interview without her husband, Donald Trump.

The First Lady sat down with ABC News whilst away from her husband in Africa, and it has been revealed that no question was off the table.

The explosive interview sees Melania speak with no preconditions, addressing issues such as her husband’s infidelity and her marriage.

She addresses why she wore the now infamous “I really don’t care” jacket earlier in the year.

“You did agree to this interview, to your credit, with no preconditions,” begins ABC News chief national affairs correspondent, Tom Llamas.

“Knowing that there could be some tough questions asked.”

Melania appears relaxed, agreeing with the interviewer that she had no preconditions with the interview.

The interview then goes onto ask the First Lady about her marriage to Donald Trump, his infidelity and the #MeToo movement that has swept through social media.

In a preview clip published by the Daily Mail, Melania is asked: “Can women in the #MeToo movement call you a supporter.”

Tom also pries further with the the mother-of-one, showing again how “no question is off limits.”

“You’re not the first first lady to have to deal with your husband’s infidelities, has this put a strain on your marriage?” asks Tom.

The preview then shows the ABC reporter correspondent asking Melania why she wore “the” jacket.

Melania appears to smile, repeating “the jacket” as she looks ready to answer his questions about her outfit choice.

Melania wore then now infamous jacket while en-route to visit child migrants held at a US detention centre, sparking controversy.

The 45-second clip concludes with Tom asking the former model, “what is the biggest misconception about you?”

While Melania has appeared in other interviews, almost all of her appearances on television have been with Donald by her side.

Her last big interview was with Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt, where she spoke about how happy she and her son Barron, 12, were about moving into the White House.

Melania’s recent trip to Africa was her first solo trip without her husband, seeing her tour Egypt, Kenya, Malawi and Ghana on a goodwill mission.

The trip served as the perfect opportunity to interview Melania alone, without any input from her husband.

During the trip Melania turned heads in the style department, wearing an array of African and colonial-inspired ensembles.

Melania Trump: Five facts about the USA’s First Lady

Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.

After Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania is the second First Lady who is a practising Catholic.

She met Pope Francis as part of a foreign tour with her husband and stepdaughter Ivanka last year.

Melania was a successful model, posing for Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and GQ.

Her skills aren’t confined to print, and she appeared in a commercial for Aflac, an American insurance company, in 2005.

Melania’s parents are Amalija Knavs and Viktor Knavs, and the couple live together in Washington.

She has one sister, Ines, who is reported to live in New York and work as an artist.

On May 7 2018, Melania launched her flagship campaign as First Lady, BE BEST, which The White House describes as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children”.

There are three main strands to the initiative: well-being, social media, and opioid abuse.
