Meghan Markle, 37, joined the Royal Family four months ago, becoming the Duchess of Sussex.
On her special day, the former actress wore a stunning Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy wedding dress.
With it was an elaborate 16-foot veil, that featured a special nod towards the Commonwealth.
It was an element that was copied from Queen Elizabeth, who also wore a Commonwealth-Inspired dress on her coronation day.
The two dresses are compared in the new ITV documentary, Queen of the World, which aired tonight.
In the documentary, Meghan comes face-to-face with her stunning gown for the first time since her wedding.
Discussing the floral tribute to the 53 countries of the Commonwealth, it is revealed that the gown worn by the Queen on her coronation day also had this tribute.
The Queen’s coronation gown was designed by Norman Hartnell, with his first sketches featuring floral patterns of the home nations – England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
But the documentary reveals that the Queen had another idea, wanting the 53 flowers of the Commonwealth woven into the fabric.
This was the Queen’s way of putting the Commonwealth at the heart of her coronation.
It was an idea taken by Meghan for her delicate lace wedding veil, which took a total of 500 hours to complete.
Along with the flora of the 53 Commonwealth countries, Meghan admitted she “snuck in” a special flower of her own.
The US native added the California poppy to the design, which she joked had “nothing to do with the Commonwealth”.
Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and her mother Doria Ragland still lives in the city.
The 37-year-old Duchess also revealed that she had “two or three” meetings with Claire Waight Keller, looking at sketches and discussing ideas to make the flowers come to life.
“After those, I trusted her implicitly, and I didn’t really see it until the morning of,” Meghan said candidly.
Meghan also revealed that she hid another personal memento in the veil, her bridal “something blue”.
“Somewhere in here there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside — it was my something blue,” Meghan grins while gingerly running her fingers through the veil.
“It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date.”

Some have claimed Meghan Markle is the first mixed-race member of the Royal Family.
Historians are still arguing about Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III.
But Meghan will be the first royal to openly embrace a mixed-race heritage.
She has written about the difficulties of being a biracial actress in Hollywood as she claims she is not black enough for some roles and not white enough for others.
