Kate Middleton, 36, gave birth to her third child Prince Louis six months ago.

After a summer taking maternity leave and caring for the young Prince, Kate is back in the spotlight.

The Duchess of Cambridge returned to the spotlight last week, making three appearances in quick succession.

Earlier this week she joined her husband Prince William for their first official engagement since the birth of their son, but has their dynamic changed?

According to body language expert Judi James, Kate and William’s interactions with each other are different to before the birth of Louis.

Judi reveals: “There seems to have been some intrinsic changes in the body language of Kate and husband William since the birth of their third child.

“Kate seems to have increased in confidence here at their first public outing together since the birth and William is unusually tactile, flashing some sweet “pinging” smiles at his wife to suggest he’s incredibly pleased to have her back at his side.”

The couple’s outing on Tuesday was to a mental health summit held at London’s County Hall on the South Bank.

Kate’s second engagement since returning to work, she wore a stunning lilac Emilia Wickstead dress that she had worn before.

Discussing the couple’s body language, Judi added: “Kate positively strides from the car and her torso and arm movements tell a similar story of confidence and energy.

“Her arms are held slightly away from her body, forming the ‘upturned V shape gap under her armpits that signals contagious levels of confidence.

“William’s signature barrier gesture of touching his jacket or waistband with one hand hints at his normal levels of shyness, but he places a very loving hand on Kate’s back at one point and even a hand on her thigh when they are sitting together.

“The pair always look happy and loving but usually in a non-tactile way.

“This tendency to touch in public seems to be a new trait for them.

“It could be a signal of delighted parenthood but it might also have been prompted by the very tactile displays from Harry and Meghan.”

Back in the spotlight, Kate made a second appearance in public this week last night.

As the new Royal patron for the Victoria & Albert Museum, Kate opened a photography exhibition at the famous London venue.

Possibly prompted again by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan wore her sister-in-law’s favourite neckline, the Bardot neck.

Glowing as she entered the exhibit, Kate stunned in a slinky, black and white, chequered Erdem dress.

Showing off her enviable post-baby body, the dress clung to Kate’s slender frame and swished in the wind as she walked.
